Mifi4G

I needed 4G connectivity and the best mobile 4G LTE wifi hotspot i could find was the D-Link DWR-932W (W = South American version)

D-Link does not supply any mobile app, the admin interface of the portable 4G LTE modem is outdated and difficult to navigate.
So i reverse engineered the firmware of the modem and made an Android application to monitor the modem/hotspot.

Originally the modem does not have a function to send and receive SMS messages (required in my country to set up and register the IMEI with the operator)
So as a bonus i found hidden functions that can add this functionality through this app i made.
Deletion of SMS messages is possible but i had to remove the function as the modem/hotspot crashes (that's probably why D-Link removed all the SMS functions)
I also found hidden info, in the admin page only signal is shown as -dBm but there is also 2 other signal bands for LTE (band 28 and band 2)
So the app can display the exact band you are on and the signal of that band.
The app can also detect if the battery is charging.

You still need to set up the modem/hotspot before you can use the app, once you have done this you can login using the app with the admin password you set up.

The app is lightweight and has the following functions:
- Light/Dark Theme
- 10 min interval background check (battery, signal etc...)
- Send USSD codes (check prepaid remaining credit for example in my case *3333#)
- Reboot button
- Keeps track of data use with option to reset data consumption.
- Uptime (how long the modem has been running)
- How many devices are connected.
- Send and receive SMS messages.
